You can continue to use netscape as your browser of choice. But for the embeded browser Stockedge needs MS Explorer on your system to run the new features. This makes it possible to get news headlines and hyperlink to the full text stories and for the research that is now built in to the product. Windows 98 comes with Explorer on the CD, but the latest 5.0 version on the Microsoft site is much faster.

StockEdge 5.0 requires MSIE. It uses it for embedded browser functionality. We don't require the user to use it as a default browser, we only require it to be loaded on the system. Incidentally, MSIE 4.01 SP1 or later is supported.
