This is a tough one that many of the services like Zacks, Thomson, First Call, etc. are struggling with since there is no unified buy, hold, sell rating system.

Your assertion that the number of strong buys on CheckFree is greater then the number listed in my spreadsheet is probably correct. Maybe I should lump the Strong Buys and Buys together and segregate the outperform/long term attractives.

I'll think about it and adjust the spreadsheet accordingly.

Regardless, the analysts views have an impact on the stock movement since many institutional investments depend on them and the overall growth rate, eps projections, etc. impact on the stock price.

I agree with the assertion that execution is the key and the main catalyst to long term stock price appreciation.
