Once a year, in its March issue, Institutonal Investor magazine features an article called "Home-run hitters of 19xx." To date they have only given credit to analysts with brokerage firms who first discovered the largest percentage gainers of the past year. In the recent issue, the top gainers for 1998 were stocks up 966% (AMZN) and 897% (NSOL), fifth place required gains of at least 248% (DELL).
Now, our job (with a little help from management), first, is to get the stock up about 300%-900% this year, that may be the easy part. Next, we have to prevail upon the mag to give the credit to Benny Baga for his pathfinder and yeoman duty. It would not only be well deserved, but would make one hell of a story, especially since he didn't get paid for his diligence whereas many of those analysts make up to seven figures for their "work," and, some of you would not use that particular four letter word.
Simply stated, thanks Benny.
