I agree with what you have pointed out and with your concerns. When the company takes such a strong stand, it is hoped that is is done so from a position of strength and knowledge, rather than an attempt at hype (or worse).

In trying to judge this, one can only go back to the company's and the CEO's track record on predictions.

Based upon a lack of demonstrable evidence of any problems, a lumping of EMC together with inappropriate comparisons, the company's prior comments on being non-Y2K-dependent, and the company's response in its release, one must wonder aloud about the coincidence of this second level analyst's remarks with the day before the third Friday of the month and the general knowledge of the over-reaction capability of this exuberant market.

Just my opinion, BWDIK.
