jwk - "PNLK became a full-functioning global operation Friday morning. It was just as fully functional and useful in a country where no one from PNLK has ever set foot as it was in the office next door to PNLK in NYC. There is no way traditional valuations can correctly allow for that fact."

What insight, you may have found the core of why the "internet" stocks have befuddled the "expert analysts" so much in the last few years. Pre-internet sources of revenues for businesses was limited to the area around the brick and morter structures, with the exception of catalog sales (the first being Sears Roebuck, and look where it went!). Failure to recognize the paradigm shift in the way businesses must function has and will continue to widen the gap between those that can see what is in the future and those that are stuck in the rut of status quo. The traditional blue chips are dancing to music that is dying in the past (IBM and AT&T seem to be an exceptions). We are watching the birth of the new blue chips of the next millenium, any one listening to the new music?

There is a book that I read a couple years ago that I highly recommend to you, "The Roaring 2000's" by Harry Dent, Jr. It will put a lot of this in perspective and gives explanations on why so many of the "experts" are not understanding what is going on.
