Tom: The "Edge strategy" hardware market except for Servers involve high Volume low cost hardware. Of these the Palm devices and the Cable
Modem are relative newcomers that have an expanding market.

Palm devices offer the best opportunity for COMS, That market is currently limited only by the availability of Programs. Further the cost of the Wireless Palm needs to be reduced. These issues can be addressed if the goal is to provide every Citizen and Soldier with a Wireless Palm so that he/she can do the following duly encrypted & compressed:

a: Communicate with any device in his house that has a Wireless code.
b: Communicate by E-mail to others.
c: Telephone by VOIP to others.
d: Down load Files for the SOHO from the Office P.C.
e: Photograph upto 5 Frames by pointing his Palm Device.
f: Obtain a dead reckoniing using GPS.
g: Obtain a local street Map on display.
h: Listen to any Audio files.
i: Listen to any F.M broadcast.

To achieve these goals COMS needs to form Partnership agreements with the Main wireless Providers. The Company needs to focus its R&D pool both talent and monies to coming up with an Integrated Palm that is truly revolutionary and will be atleast 3 yrs ahead of the Competition.

With the ever shrinking cost of FPGA's I truly believe that this can be achieved within 12 mths.
