Don, I prefer to draw my stronger conclusions after years of being told that sellers win and buyers lose, even while I was winning and the people telling me were being blasted by the options market. <g>

Don, I missed your line about puts having limited downside. I fought that fight in 1976 when California was considering allowing folks to sell puts in pension funds. The head of The State Board kept saying, "I have been in the market for years, and I know that when you sell something short, you have unlimited risk." My group would show him how the risk stopped when the stock hit zero. But he still insisted that he knew better. <g>
