One of the major differences between Man and the rest of the mammalian species is the development of the Limbus System(amygdala,hippocampus,cingulate gyrus) that allows us to have emotions and abstract feelings.

Could you elaborate on that point? I was under the impression that even animals on a scale lower than the mammals have limbic tissue. Isn't it a question of degree? And the neo-cortex? Where does the "cut-off point" between man & mammal occur, and what is its significance with relation to the question we were discussing?
