ADSL/AMATI information needed:

Hi everyone,

I am doing a research report on ADSL for an MBA class. I am searching for some information on the history and beginnings of ADSL technology. I used to follow the AMATI/Westell threads here on SI and the fool back in 96; but haven't had the time recently to keep up with the industry.

Could someone lead me to some websites with history information on ADSl/DMT/CAP. I have been to www.adsl.com but didn't really find good history information. If I remember correctly, a Stanford engineering professor held the patent for DMT and helped start Amati. Also, I believe AT&T Paradyne originally developed CAP.

I would really like a good general technical description of CAP vs DMT and ADSL. (I do know a little about Fast Fourier transforms but my fellow MBAs do not.)

Thanks for any help. It is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Eric
