The "newbies here" are making money! Thats all that is required. There is no entrance fee, just a thread that shares...we are doing just fine! I have been daytrading Canadain equities for a number of years now...I feel absolutely no need to go South for my "fix"!! When the daytrading is slow, I go outside and have a nice shot of single malt...there is no pressure on this thread to perform...they only thing we want people to do is learn and not to act on emotion! What you are reading here 'after hours" is a thread that is hypothesizing. When the working day starts we get down to business! Until then we discuss things like charts etc. etc.

it is scary.the dump's were between 700-2500

I flipped several blocks of 700-2500 between $9 and 10.50 on Friday but still hold a nice block for Monday morning. If you follow the people posting in the past few days that have been talking about GLE you would probably know that many of us aren't true "novices" by definition and have been in the game for a little while. When I saw this news come out on Friday I knew this would be absolutely huge even before it opened for trading. I rode the first wave from open to $14 for a nice profit and played the bottom ($9) the rest of the day. However I think Friday's volume and volitility will pale in comparison to next week. Monday morning is going to be a blast as everyone who missed out of Friday is going to be gunning for a position. That is a lot of market orders. I guess open at $12.60 with a run to $17 in the first 20 minutes followed by a pull back. After that it is anyones guess. Ballard has been a retail dream stock and few will want to miss being on the bottom of the next possible Ballard. Will GLE succeed...I don't know but I do know that this story has all the pieces to draw in the public.

Best Regards
KEITH

Norm you commented:
if you check out the number of 100 share trades between
$8.60 and $10.95 can. it is scary.the dump's were between 700-2500
thats my concern.take it as it is. my opinion.

However, I noted a number of large blocks of shares during the later half of Frdiay afternoons session. It seems to me you are not really concerned about the small lots but more concerned about getting this baby to drop back so you can accumulate more shares.
If your analysis regarding the small lots of 100 shares is correct, I beleive that is a good thing. Please look at the research below the border on internet stocks. I have read articles in magazines discussing the issue of small floats being pumped out of proportion. If you anlayzed BII rise from $20.00 to $30.00 I noticed it was the small investors that pushed BII to new highs.
Thanks for the reassurance, now I am convinced this stock is going for a ride on Monday morning given the press coverage.
Just my opinion.

A Note in trading...I never buy all at once...

Trading Costs

I buy in small amounts as I was told by (scotia):"computer trading costs are calculated by accumulating the # of shares X the cost as if it is one block"...

I am holding 2000 shares which were bought in 100's 200's and 500's...Alot of small buys...I flipped 5 times on friday and proberly bought (15) 100's ....

Stock Open Price
Where this stock is going....I will sell nothing on the open!!!!(under $30)<ggg>...The potential for this stock is still unfolding....It has hit every paper in the country, television and brokerage house....You thought BII was a high flier<ggg>...This company has more coverage in one weekend than BII ever got...The part that will really affect it is the amount of coverage all at once!!!!!From here it will catch the competition in months!!!!As a market cap....Over the coming weeks the news will become more clear....and we will see many pops...The company will wait for the shorts and do news again...Real smart bunch!!!!
