If I got locked into a falling stock, while holding a large block of shares, I would be extremely mad. What is it called, when you are holding a stock where the price doesn't move? Dead Money!!! They would want to move the money to where it could once again start generating a return.
If the block of stock, in question, represents more than 5% of ETPI's shares outstanding, wouldn't the shareholder be required to file a 144 before selling the shares? IMO, the shares would not be a part of the float until the 144 was filed.
It is my understanding that the P/E is based on shares outstanding, not float. Shares outstanding is a solid number and does not take a judgement call to determine the number, where the float is a harder number to pin down.
I also wish that we had better communication with ETPI's management. I did end up sending Doug Butcher a couple of the SI poster regarding ETPI. With the posts, I once again expressed my concern that ETPI should hire a VP of Finance with a background in the industry that ETPI participates in. I know that that is a major concern on this thread also. I wish that he would realize that the company is too large for him to run by himself.
Go ETPI!!! Scoobey
