I am actually just looked at the data from the Thomson I-Watch site. If you look at the definitions for the types of data plotted on the two graphs you will see that the light blue bars in the lower graph represent expressions of interest to buy, but at no fixed price. thomsoninvest.net The dark blue bars indicate a interest to buy a large block at a fixed price. I just added up the light blue and darl blue volume bars to get the amount of institutional interest to buy for the day.It is only approximate, but it gives you a feel for the buying pressure if you compare it to the total volume of shares traded for the day. It is hard to tell if all the expressions of interest filled on Friday from the data. The interesting point is that there were no institutional offers to sell. You institutional ownership statistics are really encouraging. It looks like most of the institution are waiting for this to play out in the September to December time frame. How current is the data and when is the next update?
