You do not even need to plug into the PC to download the data, it can be done wirelessly, and VLSI is developing this technology. So I will use my PDA to download or upload from anycomputers I want as long as I know the pass words when I travel. I can also use my PDA to send data ( video, voice , data) , e-mail , make phone call, access he internet for information. I can also use my PDA remotely as a wireless terminal for my PCs at home when I am travel, and work with my computer at home or the office remotely on my wireless PDA. There are lot of applications for both individual and industry. What is worse for Microsoft is AOL is approaching 3COMS for using PALMs as a device to access the internet, and the nightmare for Microsoft is if Java + Navigator are integrated.
