Yea, I'll be watching too. It should be interesting. Maybe the company will make it clear how valuable their patents are. Especially when you link them with the most powerful programming company in the industry and the (soon to be) most powerful internet delivery company. I love going back and reading over our patents so that I get a better understanding myself. I love this one:

Method for providing targeted profile interactive CATV
displays

Abstract

The present invention relates to an interactive communication system,
such as an interactive cable television system (10), for providing an
interactive information output over a common output channel from a
plurality of remotely transmitted different information inputs (22, 24, 26,
28, 30) and, more particularly, relates to an improved method for
interactively creating a selection profile for a subscriber and interactively
selecting in real time one of a plurality of messages, such as television
commercials or game scores, based upon the selection profile whereby
multiple users of a one-way television signal distribution network (60)
may obtain an individualized or tailored program information content for
a television programming sequence. The selection profile may be created
in advance of transmission of the television program or commercial or
during transmission of a given program and may be varied from the head
end. In this manner, highly tailored information may be provided to
particular subscribers based on their individual profiles as recognized by
the system. In addition, selection profiles comprising subsets of a group
of parameters may also be created with the tailored programming based
on the subsets as well.

That one alone will be worth billions in advertising dollars.

I can understand why AOL went crying to Congress.

Something else to consider about tomorrow's CC is the fact that this company has NEVER hyped themselves. I have never seen a press release that is merely BS and doesn't have some very relevant information. That is why I am also expecting something very important to come out tomorrow. They don't blow their own horn for their own sake. I think they're blowing it to move others out of the way! beep beep

Sorry for all the posts Champ., but I keep thinking of more positives. One of the negatives for most of the internet companies is that barrier to entry is pretty low. They have no proprietary technology or patents to protect them. But ACTV has both and we have the big backers to protect us and keep others out of "the walled garden." Maybe we'll soon be considered a "pure" internet play and if that happens, look out!
