I'm sure there are seminars but I have been out of the US too long to know who or where. A book like "The Electronic Daytrader" is a good place to start.

I compare L2 to playing bridge. You can approach "the game" on many different levels from simply knowing the system and broad trends to very fine nuances of which MM is doing what, when and why. There is always more to learn.

I use L2 to enhance my position trading; I am not trying to scalp less than a point on any trade. But I successfully shorted VVUS because I saw the big news, then saw lots more stock on the offer than the bid; then I knew that a lot of folks wanted to sell on the news, and a short was a good prospect.

Yamner's site has a few L2 tutorials, I believe.
