AJ, You have the chronology completely reversed. I did not even know USAB had a thread when I bought the stock on Friday. If you look at my record, you would know that I usually pick a stock way before it gets on the SI's Hot Subject list.

For instance, on April 12, 10:57am, I posted about LPGLY, which was trading at 13 5/8 x 3/4 at the time, volume about 0:
exchange2000.com
exchange2000.com

Patherzen created the LPGLY thread at 4:24pm, the stock closed at 20 3/4.
exchange2000.com

After that, LPGLY enjoyed the NO.1 spot on the Hot Subject list for 3 consecutive days.

>>>...it's nothing more than a pump&dump fiasco, engineered by insiders who are undoubtably rigging the Yahoo thread.<<<

Maybe, but nobody was rigging the Yahoo thread before the PR -- there were less than a dozen posts. To me, the most curious thing about this story is that it was such a well kept secret until Friday. The sole MM in this stock seems to have been the most surprised of all. So if it's a pump and dump, it was done with more stealth than the average P&D.

For those not familiar with the Flash technology that will power USAB's site, here's a demo. Click on "Showroom" and view the web sites; you may have to download Macromedia's free browser plugin from macromedia.com

AJ, I would agree that your conjecture above has some validity to it. But it's a mere educated conjecture, and even assuming it's correct, why not join in for the ride. For instance, on Wednesday, I noticed BEST was engineering a short squeeze on FLBK, and I hopped on for the ride from 16 1/2 to 34. Did I for one minute believe that FLBK worth 16 a share? no way. But I would be nuts to miss a ride with the mighty Bear Stearns for 18 pts in 2 hours.

That said, USAB is a much, much better company than FLBK. The past is not a predicator of the future, but since USAB executes its brick and mortar business so well, I would at least give it the benefit of the doubt about its ability to execute on the net.
