Ya know one thing my wife and I alwyas do is this.

We started ivested about a year and a half ago. But we set rules for margin. Our portolio is growing at 100% a year.

Year 1 the margin can't exceed 25%
year 2 the margin can't exceed 20%
year 3 15%
year 4 10%
year 5 7.5% or so
year 6 5%
Year 7 0% on margin.

Remember don't buy y2k stocks or bb or over the counter stocks. Always buy the tech and the leaders. This is how to really make money. It works for me.
