You know what is totally amazing? People can make money from reading these threads. That's despite the fact that Silicon Investor is full of posts filled with "bashing & hyping". This thread alone has provided me with some terrific investment ideas. All an investor has to do is click on one of your indexes to see the actual results produced by some of these stocks. It's up to each investor to do their own due diligence. We must all realize that we make mistakes. I know I've made plenty of mistakes. I've made bad investments and I've posted stuff that makes me look like an idiot. I've also made some wonderful investment decisions and met some great people here at SI. Bottom line, I will never hold anyone responsible but my own self for my gains or losses. Keep up the great work SW. This is a terrific thread where diverse opinions are very well received. Wow!, S W, Thanks for what must be the longest post I have ever seen from you... Actually, all I wanted to achieve, is post a "reality check", prompted by Tim Dickson's post and his conclusion: "all comments are welcome (on PLRP)". I was certainly not concerned about the success or otherwise of threaders' picks; just the fact that we only seem to see one side to the story. Neither was I trying to elaborate on my well known views on DCHT. I realized that there are very few posts that mention the dark side of certain stocks. While thread's contributors are sometime aware of the bad points they rarely post about them, out of kindness or perhaps to avoid "making waves" or because they think everyone knows about them. I believe such posts would be useful, particularly to the lurking "newbies". On the other hand, one could consider this thread as a "Generalist Thread", where to pick up ideas. Then one goes to the "Specialist Thread" itself to find out all the other good and bad points. BTW, I have not requested that MDIH go on the Index, as I don't think it is suited. The stock should trade at $3.00, based on some 20 cents EPS and PE of 15, but does not, because management couldn't care less about improving shareholders' value. Have a great weekend. Regards, F. ALERT: ZSUN. I believe a large short position is about to unwind... in conjunction with long awaited earnings news for 1998 on Monday and possible announcement of application to list on NASDAQ. Although ZSUN's projections call for 11 cents EPS, I have collated information in previous releases that point to 12.75 cents or a 16% increase. In addition, ZSUN expects to earn 34 cents in 1999, although my own projections are nearer to 50 cents, due to the recent acquisition of a leading Seminar Company with net earnings for 1999 QI of some $875,000. A recent comparison with PCNTF (closed at $83.75), which also operates in Asia and expects earnings of 24 cents for 1999, indicates a PE of 300 for this type of stock. Therefore, I am expecting that ZSUN could reasonably be worth in the vicinity of $100.00 within 18 to 24 months, if not sooner. Please, note that I am long on ZSUN and have added 500 shares to my position last Friday. Short covering could send the share price to $25.00 or more. Don't believe a word of what I just said, for I am seriously biased and do your own Due Diligence. Regards, F. Goelo + + +
