Interesting article at investors.com (IBD for Monday) regarding the cheap PC model. Q&A with Scott Harmon. He must be very bright because his conclusion is the same as what I have been saying for awhile here:<g>

"I think the successful business model will take a low-cost PC, with Internet- based services wrapped around it, and sell it as an appliance to the consumer." (Harmon)

Oh yes, he thinks that DELL will succeed in this niche or at least he implies it (assuming that DELL lowers its price points sufficiently to attract the low-cost PC consumer). As I've said before, if DELL intends to expand its total market share to 40% in seven years, they will have to do this.

Gateway and others will be there to make it interesting.
