Yes, it's clear. In fact, the force is much more important than the sex, because it is criminal and hurts people, possibly ruining their whole lives. 'Force' is what makes it rape.

But that was't the issue.The issue was that many here were taking the absurd position that rape was not a sexual act.

Just that. That is all I am trying to debunk. Because it is bunk.

That is why I drew up my scenario. I just want everyone who agrees that that rape scenario is one that happens, is, for the rapist (not for his horrified victim) sexual act.

Want to sign on to that statement?

I want Edwarda to sign on too.

Then I will be happy.

We can then either drop it or discuss other more complex or subtle rape scenarios.
