I don't think we know that. As X has said, many rapists have sex with their wives or girlfirends that doesn't involve rape. The man who raped my sister was unquestionably having sex. My sister was there, and that's what she says, differing from Edwarda on this point. But, horrifyingly enough, at his trial, his shattered wife (and weeping mother) appeared.
