Bearded One,

the Seattle Times article was "Hitting Home" reading. Reality is starting to reach the media. What was most interesting about this article was not what was written but that is was written in MSFT's back door.

All the techies knew that Windows2000 will be a watered down disaster. Active Directory will even be worse. It nice to see that the media is finally reporting what MSFT has so badly been trying to hide.

Now, lets just bring on the release of the actual crud so they cannot hide behind their marketing FUD and stand behind real code. The worst part for MSFT is that the actual release date will be only weeks prior to the the big Y2K date. There will be substantially restricted cash flow on this code - not only because of corporations not wanting to risk their business systems on this product, but because upgrade lock-down will be in full swing.
