If you like a game of "chicken" (pardon the ethnic reference), find stocks with huge downdrafts all day, try to pick the end-of-day bottom between 3-4pm EST, then wait for the short covering to push up the price anywhere from 1/4 to 1 1/2 points. I've done this down to the last 15 seconds of the market. Got caught overnight once, but the stock gapped up the next morning and I got out with a nice gain.

It's pretty obvious that everyone is waiting for the next guy to make the first move...

Do you have any favorite industry specific links where research can be done on the main players, trends, demographics or other general information? I'm talking about background information before you start looking at specific companies.
