In this case there are other problems as well. The DTC freeze makes it difficult to get a borrow. So unless you can short naked, you'll have difficulties. If you only want to take a small position, you may be successful. But that, of course, is precisely WHY there are no current large short positions in AZNT. No net short interest at all. Sure. I think this one's dead as a doornail. If I could short it, I would do. But execution's a problem, even for the small investor. For serious players it's not even worth a look. THIS is what the Stooges don't want to understand: there aren't any shorts. "Someone" is trying to keep the stock afloat, and with considerable success, but still, the trend is.....down.
