That is true. But nowhere in history has there been a moment where profit growth has accelerated so fast as it has in recent history. ATI profits have grown in double and triple digits and its PE is a modest 25 or maybe even less (I am not sure if the latest quarter has been calculated in this number). Also the stock is trading near it's book value. the only reason that stock is now playing catchup with the rest of the market, in my opinion is the recent NASDAQ listing. the company is gaining more visiblity and is being picked up as a total bargain. This stock is much better value than a lot of the internet stocks trading at huge PE ratios. If ATI was to be valued like these companies its PE is way to low a stock price of $50.00 Canadian would be more like it. Also an interesting fact is that in my opinion there is still lots of room left in the PC market especially overseas and also ATI owners are Asian and that will almost guarantee them preferrd treatment when negotiating contracts with PC manufactureres in Asia.
