Michelle -
See my previous post. The PC business is not important to CPQ - it is only important to be relatively competitive. The plan is to have PCs be an increasingly small part of CPQ over time. They already represent less than 50% of revenue and less than 10% of profit.

This emphasis on the low end business and the PC business in general misses the whole point about CPQ's struggle over the last year. Because that is such a huge part of DELL's business, DELL investors seem to concentrate on that aspect of CPQ as well, but it is not the issue.

BTW for the record, DELL is currently my largest holding, so I am not in here beating the drum for CPQ. I think this management change will be good for CPQ and neither good nor bad for DELL. As always DELL's fate is in the hands of DELL management.
