El: I don't know that CPQ will gap down at all. I think that the departure of the BBs is good news. WHATEVER the reason(s) for the shortfall was, it was ultimately their fault. These are the facts -this will be the second year in a row CPQ has screwed up, the stock (read shareholders) have suffered tremendously, CPQ's image is tarnished on Wall Street, and the whole CPQ operation is in a state of flux. EP and EM have ZERO credibility. They had to go, regardless of whether or not the two of them could have turned it around.

I'm just trying "temper" the good news a bit, for those who think that it's time to load up on CPQ stock. I have a hunch that we may see an initial pop on this news, but then a pullback when the earnings report comes out. After all, how much of a plan is Rosen going to be able to give us by Wednesday??? Personally, I'm going to wait and see what they have to say - I don't care if I miss a few points. After all, I am the least greedy person on this thread.

But then, I've been WRONG! before.
