I agree with you Art. I of course forgot to mention RISK, since that was assumed. G* is a "pure play" because of its single business.

Where I differ is at the end of your statement in equating those who are willing to buy G* now or in the near future with those speculating on internet stocks and that earnings are not important. Those who buy now are voting their confidence on the fundamentals, the soundness of the business plan, management capablities, and the existence of a market for the service. In other words, that earnings will come in time; earnings are very important! It's largely a question of when the company--as any startup--will start generating them. In that respect, I would compare that group of shareholders to those who bought Qualcomm, a year to three years ago: confidence in the long run even if the revenues, earnings and stock price gains are delayed.
