I only heard part of the show, but he also seemed very positive about INTC. Any comments? This should be an interesting, and hopefully positive week for UTEK.

Nelli: Imho, when BB says in response to a caller's question that "HE'D sell ATHM at $200 and HE'D buy ATHM under $90", I take it to mean that Brinker is NOT MAKING A RECOMMENDATION TO THE CALLER, only describing actions Brinker himself would take based on his own personal circumstances.

On the other hand, when BB says "QQQ has not reached HIS BUYPOINT of $90", I take it to mean he has already published that recommendation and it stands as is.

Nelli,

>>>
ATHM below 100 is a buy because it is a "hot" stock and will be a player for years to come... that's in effect what he said...
>>>

I didn't hear this call. I am looking at this one, especially if Mr. Market gets the mid-summer blues.

I know a couple of my Berkshire friends us ATHM and love it. I would love to have this type of access so SI pages loaded faster. HA!

BTW, welcome to the thread.

re: Did the Captain actually recommend an Internet stock today?

Bob actually owns shares of an Internet company. We know this because he told us last week that Lucent and Cisco are Internet companies. And we know he owns LU.

Of course, LU, CSCO, and ATHM have a somewhat more tangible product than the more speculative Internet companies.

(But I am not sure that I believe that ATHM will be the winner; I am putting my bet on the DSL companies like COVD, RTHM, NPNT.)

Nelli: "ATHM below 100 is a buy because it is a "hot" stock and will be a player for years to come... that's in effect what he said."

Hear what you want but I would revisit that call via the archival recordings available on the net. He said that he owns no ATHM now and would only take a look at ATHM at a price below $100. He never said he would buy it because it is a hot stock. This is not Brinker. In fact, he never said he would actually buy it only that he would take a look at it. Leave it at that.
