Hey, ease back my friend. For starters, as I made clear in another note, I'd happily see SilkRoad succeed. I'm a big fan of underdogs, doubly so if they're as unusual as the people at SilkRoad. But that said, your post troubles me. It is only one step removed from pseudo-science to defend SilkRoad's (read: John Palmer) work by saying that "the thesis is beyond [his} ability to defend" or "only a few specialists can follow what is being presented." What's more, Palmer _does_ say that doubt is thrown on fundamental notions in physics. It's not just his supporters who make that claim. So when he talks that sort of talk, he better walk the walk. Saying that and then making undergrad errors does nothing for my confidence given the opacity of his manifesto. Best. P.
