thanks for the excellent post
Here's a thought I have I hope I didn't already post:
Some of us have been concerned that bcst is clearly trying to push their viewers into the direction of the new microsoft player.....At sdome times during the day on the bcst homepage, the leading (show) is the announcement of the new media player with paid pr to look like it is objective.
BCST suggests that you check out their new line-up of media player programming. I did that......
Very comforting...the line-up is pathetic.......Microsoft can give away all the fre players they want to, but nobody is doing any programming in that format.....
they need to go after the creators of the content and that is where they are hitting a brick wall....
I hope it stays that way long enough for this to happen: Yahoo/msft/bcst creates a lot odf viewer interest in audio/video internet products, then people realize that if they really want to see what is out there on the net, they will need to use the real player to do that.....this may accelerate the already high number of daily downloads of realplayer....Last week glaser said that around 170000 downloads a day, everyday...that is an annual clip at 62000000 viewers.
thats not a number that anyone will ignore.
