The answer to your question about CPQ is that the market is moving up sharply at the current time. Moments ago the Nasdaq was up 125, and as I post this it is up 745, or 7.45 points.

As for AXC, I am pretty sure they wouldn't have burned so much news last week if they didn't have a lot more for NAB. Whether it will just hold the stock where it is, or move it up, only time can tell.

Rob,
Those charts look similar to my MetaStock chart about which the comment is:

Currently the MACD for AXC is bullish since it is trading above its signal line. The MACD crossed above its signal line 9 periods ago.

The MACD is in an overbought range. Prices may continue to move higher for some time.

I am strongly of the opinion that TA is more valuable when you don't see what is going on. We may not see everything here, but we can surely see that things are changing rapidly and in a positive direction.I think that throws out all things relating to averages, or past history. Clearstation alternative to Rob - here is another site that provides a few more options. FYI Scott

On the overbought/oversold front, I have keyed on RSI > 75, STO > 80 and Bollinger band violation confirming together to show overbought, reverse for oversold.
