Dog, We will have to disagree then. I think that DELL's vision is superior to CPQ's. CPQ is now an amalgamation of different companies. Its core business has been rendered largely obsolete. Its business model is a relic. Tandem and DEC were dinosaurs with a pedigree. CPQ's flirtation with the NIC market was a disaster. It failed to achieve any results with the internet. the Alpha is a questionable proposition. Their service business is another relic soon to be displaced by newer and better technologies. The bloom is off the rose!
