Tuck,

Thanks for the lecture in "patent protection 101".

This guy has been a genius in this art, has formed a great company to exploit the technology, has been able to enforce their technology againsy huge pockets (e.g. Samsung, Sony, Hitachi), and made numerous great business decisions during the early stages of this company (Gates-like I feel).

"Gates-like" is giving too much credit to Bill Gates. He may have written some good software applications as a young man, but has basically stolen everything since that time including Apple's GUI as well as DOS.

Dr. Harari has demonstrated a much higher level of ingenuity and creativity.

Dave, again many thanks for your clarifications on the patents. While I don't have enough expertise to evaluate the details of the claims, I know from other cases that SanDisk probably has the upper hand. If that assumption is true, then, as far as investors are concerned, SanDisk is one of the most UNDERVALUED investments available to the public. Some investors may hesitate, given the uncertainties. I've found the best policy (based on about 45 years of investing) is if you believe in the inherent values embodied in the company management and proprietary technology, just keeping pouring money into the stock, and don't even worry about diversifying. It's one heck of an opportunity.
