In the long run, not much. That is... unless Eckhard Pfeiffer and Earl Mason are coming over to Apple. BTW, Mason has already stated that he will become the CEO of a company in an "unrelated" industry. Thank god. ;-)

Regarding market due to CPQ resignations-

The GLOBEX futures on the S&P are not showing any freak-out selling. cme.com

It looks like people see CPQ as being eaten alive by competitors. We are doing our own very little iMac part at the consumer end.

Our good friends at IBM and Sun may be hitting them where the big bucks are concentrated, in the big stuff.
