The facts

Its best to ignore posts that have little factual basis and are unusally repetitive. Everyone is e titled to an opinion but when it is expressed 50 times in two days its best just not to respond....

We have had some wonderful factual posts on this board and
an excellent summary of the storage business by Mr. Levy and
both emc and dells place in it.

Also the vendor who says there has been no slow down in
emc purchases of his product and heightened demand seems
very plausible.

Additional positive facts are a rapid fluctuation in emc is not new
a 20% correction is not new.

The storage business is here to stay and emc has been the leader. It is not sitting pat and is working on new technology with IBM.

Lu corrected violently a few mos ago and came back to new
highs.

Pfe corrected violently 6 mos ago and came back to new highs

Mrk fell dramatically and came back in 6 mos to new highs.

So did Jbl and on and on and on.

A company doesn't fall apart in 3 mos and one qtr of a slowdown in earnings won't matter that much in the long term.
(12 mos.)

There has been very little insider selling in emc as of march 8.
If someone else has more recent info of insider selling let them state the facts. By whom, date, and how many shares.

One of two things are happening in my opinion...a correction is going on in sector including emc, price may go lower may bounce back and then may go lower.....but unless this economy
falls apart emc will go back up and meet Gruntals Target of 150 with the next 12 mos. Also we will just have to tighten our seat belts for Tuesdays announcements, conference call and
any other analysts changes in their recommendations.

One last thing.. It is hard to believe Merrifll participated with emc
in announcement last mos, is recommending it clients buy, and
still know of any fundamentals that are going bad.

All the guy from Montgomery said was that a very specific survey
of P M indicated there might be a slowdown in qtr4 or freeze of
the very general term storage tech.. I'll repaet myself and say that unless we have some crazy surprise Tuesday this whole thing will turn out to be another volital dance which we have all
seen so many times before with emc on its upward path
