PDA = Personal Digital Assistant

Palm is 3COM's PDA product. It's an electronic Filofax. It helps you keep track of your contacts, appointments, things to do, etc.; allows you to enter information by writing directly on the LCD panel (although you have to write in a certain manner--not too difficult to learn). I guess you could say that the Palm is like a portable version of MS Outlook, with some limitations. An important feature about any PDA is that it is small. I saw the new Palm V yesterday, and it's thinner than the Palm 3. Very sleek and classy; made of some metal (magnesium?), which gives it more weight over its plastic predecessor. Don't know what the exact dimensions are, but it's smaller than a piece of white bread toast IMO.
