Bill,

< I don't like daytrading and have not been successful at it, to be honest. Too much work, too much stress, too much risk, too time intensive, and I've not seen anyone make profits consistently. >

I've ventured down the same path as you and found pure day trading not for me. But I'd like to ask you about the above. Specifically, "too much work and too time intensive". I found many of the day traders I traded with did no homework and just played off CNBC movers, internets or MSFT, INTC, DELL, etc. Thus, it was not time consuming or much work but was more a function of timing entry/exit points. What was time consuming and lot's of work for you? Did you research which stocks you planned to play each day? I will agree that it's very stressful and risky and short term position tradeing lets me sleep much better at night.

Dave

Re: "I buy them for a reason, and I let them do their thing."

Thanks for your input. Do you use a stop loss in your position trades?

Best wishes,
