Anyone remember that person who posted about E-trade Australia. He got the SI jail (whatever that is) after posting the same message on a lot of different threads.
Maybe he was right about it!!! Australian internet stocks are moving.

i generally don't short stocks because brokers don't pay interest on the proceeds of the short sale. instead they get the interest.

also i would not sell the calls naked. limited profit and potential for a large loss if you are wrong.

i do already own puts on cpq and that is play you might want to make if you think compaq is headed down the tubes.

i believe there is more to the story. one bad, or even two bad quarters, should not have caused the dismissal. hewlett packard, for example, had a lot more misses than compaq.
