Lars:<<This is the ultimate question. I think a person will have a tremendously difficult time deciding when. You may hit all time highs and then have a 30% correction and then return to new all time highs. I think there are some doubles and triples to be had out there. I am targeting accordingly and at least taking out my initial investment, most likely 50% of the market value. Who knows?>> <<As I have said before, if this sector gets hot and the overall market is hot.....watch out. Mr. Market could give us egregious P/Es and not blink. He becomes so excited with certain areas of the market.>> And it depends, I suppose, on how far we are into the cycle. And I think now, regretfully, on a story of mine: I--I'm checking my records--bot 500 AMER on 7/19/95 at 47. Does anybody remember AMER? That was the Naz symbol for AOL before it went to the big board. Then, like a genious sold it on 7/24/95 for 50. I made a profit and walked with a swagger--for a few days. And at the time I bot I thought I was "chasing" it because it didn't come down to 40. Therefore 50 was definitely overvalued. I ain't doing that again--not with the equips. The fact is I bot AMER without a sell target of the remotest kind. I just woke up 5 days later and said "hey, I have a profit. I gotta move on." So if anyone wants to hit me with a metaphysical two by four, have at it. What worries me is that if the equips take off with Justa's "boot strap effect" they may run a long ways which makes a sell strategy at the top as easy as selling internets at the "right" price. So as I throw darts, here are my sell targets (oughta be fun ;-) for companies I own: Amat: 125 Nvls: 125 Klac: 125 Ter : 125 Pria: 85 Etec: 85 Asyt: 60 Utek: 65 Sfam: 60 So, Lars, should we put our sell limit orders in now<<GGG>>, or do you thing the targets need to be revised (upward)?<<G>>.
