I respect you and your opinion, Dave. And I will fight to the death for your right to say it. But I'll be damned if I'll spend one cent on a bunch of Muslims who usually side with bin Laddin. This just keeps getting more and more weird. "Oh what a tangled web we weave when at first we practice to... wag the dog."

Dave,
RE:"What I was implying in my post was that I believe that without NATO,
Albania then Turkey would be drawn into a war with Yugoslavia. If
Turkey got involved than Greece (it's enemy) would jump in.I think at
that point the rest of the countries in the region would soon be sucked in
because of treaties or long simmering ethnic hatreds."....

Interesting that we didn't see any real peace in the middle east until Carter sat down with Begin and Sadat and gave about $2 billion to each one/year and divided up some land. Same thing happened with Arafat.
Now all of a sudden we decide to bomb when a couple $billion US dollars would probably have done the trick. So Clinton decides on 9 billion in bombs and billions later to fix up the countries. All this from a Pacifist draft dodger. Go figure.
