Chairman Benjamin M. Rosen, who in 1991 removed then-CEO and founder Rod Canion and installed Mr. Pfeiffer
Could this be the root of Cpq's troubles. It would be hard for any CEO to be sucessfull if there is a backstage manager second guessing. At least as interm CEO he will have to put his mouth where his money is.

Victor - Palmisano was the guy I mentioned last night. If CPQ is serious about the services thrust then he could be a good choice. Sam is one of the architects behind IBM's services thrust, and it has been quite successful over the past few years.
