Hey, we all make mistakes, including myself. There are a few who make them purposely. I wanted to correct them before others got the wrong idea. No offence meant, no offence taken. I commonly ask for people to correct me when Im wrong as well, I guess its called fuel cell overload hey. You mentioned Ethanol in your earlier post, that is why I said Methanol. You also mentioned natural gas, to my knowledge, Ballard cannot use natural gas, even with a reformer, otherwise I suspect they would have changed to that rather than switching from straight hydrogen from a bulk source on board to Methanol. Gas stations are better equiped for Natural Gas than they are hydrogen. Who knows, perhaps we will be able to fill up our GLE cars at our homes? Yes I know, I'm pointing out some shortfalls of Ballard. I'm sure we will have ours as well. As for Ballards buses that run on hydrogen, that scares me. Sorry, I'm not trying to cut them down, I am serious. Ask how much of a city block would disappear should a terrorist or someone fire a bullet at their tanks. Im serious, I wouldnt be caught dead (no pun intended) in any bus that has hydrogen tanks above my head. To me its a walking bomb. If Ballard is going to make it work, they need to rid the buses of the hydrogen. Imagine what the impact of one accident would be. Im not trying to strike fear into people. The biggest obstacle Ballard has in my eyes is the public perception of hydrogen, especially in a gaseous state. Ballards cell runs in a range, I believe it is something like 85C to 105C (may be wrong)(yes, GLE has temperature requirements as well). Outside of that range the cell will not work. I have heard the Ballard cell is dammaged by freezing as well. Should a cell freeze, it would need to be replaced. If anyone can confirm this it wold be appreciated. Freezing I am told will not harm the GLE cell. The best thing in my eyes Ballard could do would be to buy GLE. Take a few steps back, and reconsider their approach to the top (IMHO). They are reworking the same problems constantly. I believe they need to step back to a point earlier in development and perhaps change their system and cell. It doesnt necessarily mean everything gets scrapped. One of the biggest things Ballard has achieved was the public perception that fuel cells may someday be reality and investors to finance development. Im sure we will get our chance to say these kinds of things about Global. Yes, I am long on Global, however that does not stop me from posting negative comments about a stock I own. The purpose of this board is to give a balanced view to help all make decisions. As I learn the shortfalls of Global I will post those as well. Thanks for your clarifications. It adds to your credibility on the board. Chip
