Hi Nilesh - I like this idea with CEO Eric Schmidt but to achieve this, CPQ must merge with Novell because CEO Schmidt will not go otherwise. Novell's new products targeted to the Enterprise customer and Internet along with their large installed customer base (that needs consulting services) would help CPQ achieve those much needed Service Revenues.

A one for one stock swap would leave CPQ with about 2 Billion shares outstanding. It would make a very good fit, but CPQ already has quite of bit to digest right now.

CPQ needs a CEO with experience in the Enterprise Service business. What about somebody from EDS, Unisis or even IBM.

CPQ must be selective... if they take their time now, it will pay huge dividends in the future.
