Les,

Ya know, I don't think these Apaches will help
NATO very much. After all, they need to find
targets to hit. What are they going to shoot
at? Most of the Kosovo police/paramilitaries
are driving around in stolen range rovers. All
ya need is an AK-47 and a box of grenades and
you can be an ethnic cleanser. If we can't shoot
it with the GBU's and MK-82s with the infrared
designation system on board the 707s, what makes
us think an Apache will do any better? Not only
that, I think the refugees are going to be in
serious trouble with those IR lock-on gattling
guns those Apaches have on their noses.

This whole situation is getting worse. Just wait
till the Russians start arming the Serbs with the
SAM-10 "grail" IR shoulder fired rockets. I think
thats what they bagged the F-117A with. It is the
state of the art "stinger". Those things are going
to be trouble for any low flying aircraft.

I predict Serb army stingers will give the Apaches a good fight, if not win.
