rll,

I have to say that I haven't thought as deeply as you about this, but could JG be thinking total IOM 1999 revenues far less than you're anticipating?

That certainly is a possibility. However, I basically built-in only a 3% increase to 1997! revenues to arrive at my 1999 revenue projections.....and feel that no matter how deeply we get into the minutia of everything, if Iomega can't even grow the &*$%# top line by 3% over 1997 we are all lost.

One thing that made me feel somewhat "stable" (not crazy) in my predictions was Michael Coley's predictions which are based on quite a bit of detail that I chose not to deal with (many ways to skin a cat theory). As a matter of fact, his "first round" total revenue predictions for 1999 was $200 million higher than my predictions. I know he is going to adjust his numbers sometime this quarter and I, also, will adjust mine as soon as Iomega announces the extent of the special charges to be taken against net earnings for Q2 1999.
