I'm not sure I understand about this whole manipulation thing. People claim that MM's fudge with stuff a lot to make money, but I'm not entirely clear how often this really happens and how they go about doing it. I'd really appreciate it if you could fill me in on what exactly you mean by "lowering on buys" (I assume it means that despite lots of buyers they lower the bid) and why an MM would do this.

Thanks ..

proud dad......you may want to report this to the sec. The MM's here could ruin this stock to avoid losing on their shorts. After they drive a stock down, investors lose interest in investing, volume drops and investors move on. Then the stock sits there for another 6 months with little or no activity. If you look at xnet, dnet, mxnt, gtci and so on, you will see the same MM's, the same 5 to 5 numbers and the spread maintaining as they slowly walk down the stock. Of course, the sec is busy investigating all issues in the trading arena, and it is very remote any MM's will be punished. I like MXNT and hope it will go back up soon. However, today I feel less than optimistic it will see any significant rise for many months. Maybe I am just bummed out... :)
