mohan...thank you for the "wisdom" of your posts..re:direct/indirect sales methods...

i think one major point falls by the wayside..the direct sales method lays sole source responsibility at the feet of the manufacturer...for quality, delivery,after sale warranty and service and problem resolution..a "bad" distributor/reseller/retailer...will oft times lay blame for their transgressions back to the manufacturer...easier to blame someone else and side with the irate consumer....someday the dynamic will change and the marketing people at cpq,hwp,ibm, hereinafter refered to as the "losers", will recognize that they are not selling a commodity, and commodity sales methods have and did fail...
