You're right about the box cars outside the factories in Austin, but can one say that Dell makes laptops and towers on the same assembly line each day? Interesting.


No, Boxcars of parts behind Apple factories is parity with Dell. Dynamically switching product lines would be out-delling Dell.

Its probably not the best way, one line for each product category would likely be the best.

But the ability to put out X computers a day and have the makup of that X across the lines be completely fungible.... would be Glorious. (Spoken in Worf's voice.)
