I tend to agree with that $500 will be a tough sell with 600Mhz coppermine chips with 256K cache on chip if 500Mhz is all they can produce.

But they won't be able to make many anyhow at 0.25 micron to make any difference.

If they get to 0.18 in Q3 per plan then they should see at least 600Mhz-800Mhz parts.

Again it will come down to the ability to manufacture with high Mhz and high yields with AMD's limited wafer capacity.
